Creative hub in Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland, Northern Media Culture Association Magneetti invites artists to submit works for the media art exhibition IMPORT/EXPORT, which will take place in Tornio, Finland and Haparanda, Sweden 15-29.11.2013

IMPORT / EXPORT will illuminate the many forms of borders and the varied methods of crossing them.

They are searching for artworks that explore ideas such as

Transfer of people, objects or immaterial products (like culture, ideas, emotion) across countries and borders or between individuals.

Borders can be thought as borders between communities, states, cultures or people.

The works chosen will be exhibited in the twin town / border towns of Tornio and Haparanda during the darkest time of the year in various public locations around the area.

Applications for the exhibition should be sent by email to info@magneetti.org by 13.9.2013.

The application should include:

  • Description of the artwork
  • Technical requirements
  • Images of the proposed artwork
  • Curriculum vitae
